Worked as part of a larger team in Bristol to finish off puppets for a production of The Flying Castle. Puppet designed based heavily off of the orginal book, written by Thomas Brezina. Puppets built includes a pig, a frog, and three crows.

The Making Process

Joining the team during the final stretch, I assisted in the creation and assembly of the three crow puppets. I focused on creating the feet from scratch using wire, eva foam and wooden dowels. I was also then able to sew and assemble the wings, and assembling the crow puppet's final parts.

I also assisted in the finishing of other puppets, gluing on scrim layers to the horse's hooves, applying colour to the stork's feet and painting on glaze layers for the frog and fish to protect the paint.
