Working over the course of two months, I planned and contructed the set and puppets, with transportation to Bristol at the heart of the designs. I also provided puppetry training and guidance for Peter Bryant and Ben Biaggi, as it was their very first time performing with puppets. As well as co-ordinating between Puppet Place, and arranging various rehersal spaces between Cardiff and Bristol.
The Overall Process
The puppets themselves are based on a custom sock-like pattern, constructed from upholstry foam and decorated in various types of fleece, yarn and scrap fabrics. Both puppets feature yarn hair, some of which was crocheted curls made by Hannah Hewer,
The set was constructed using scrap wood sourced from closing shows at RWCMD, following design drawings created in Fusion360.
