A display of the relationship between Welsh and Chinese cultures through creating two giant chinese dragon dance puppets for the Chinese in Wales Association. These several meter long giants would first perfom at the college during an evening dedicated to the new years celebrations. Then, they would tour several venues throughout Wales to be peformed and displayed throughout the year.

The Overall Process

As part of a collaborative effort for this project, I produced scale drawings, foam patterns and complete EVA pieces for the Welsh dragon, as well as assisting with worbla work, sewing and painting where needed.

I also had the pleasure of attending "dragon dance" workshops, coordinated by the Chinese in Wales Association. I was then able to impliment these skills into the final performace at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
