La Bella Dormete Nel Bosco was part of a opera double bill at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff. Both the David Seligman Opera School and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama joined together to perform these pieces.

The Overall Process

For this production, I was tasked with constructing, refining and performing the "Fox" puppet, following the designs produced by Jana Lakatos. Aiming to mimic the themes of a fantasicial forest, the puppet is made using natural materials such as willow, bamboo, twine and latex.

During rehearsals, time was spent in movement workshops to hone in on the performace of the fox, both as an invidiual and how it would interact with the other puppets (deer and rabbit).
